Wind System Based on a Doubly Fed Induction Generator: Contribution to the Study of Electrical Energy Quality and Continuity of Service in the Voltage Dips Event

Ibtissam Kharchouf, Ahmed Essadki, Tamou Nasser

Industrial machines are very sensitive to electrical defects especially the Doubly Fed Induction Generators. This high sensitivity reveals many difficulties in terms of compliance with the specifications imposed by the operators of the electrical networks, this article gives a proposed strategy to control the whole wind conversion chain which allows, high production performances in perturbed conditions to be obtained in the voltage dips event. To do this, a comparison between two control strategies, one conventional and the other modified, is presented to conclude about the one that guarantees a good quality of electrical energy and continuity of service in low voltage drops event. The results of this work are provided by simulations in the MATLAB / SIMULINK environment.
